No flights allowed on the 15th from 10am until 10pm due to the arrival of Erdogan and others to go and have a picnic on the beach in Varosha.
I think that the security on the ground will be intensive.
The Greeks are planning demonstrations .
Nothing contentious really

Fine, the Greeks (a foreign nation, (as can the US and Uncle Tom cobbly and all)) can demonstrate all they wish. More to the point is what the RoC citizens feel about a demonstration.

Went to Varosha yesterday for a visit. They are planting trees on the pavements and filling the roundabouts with flowers. Everything is being spruced up for the picnic. Very interested to see they have now painted cycle lanes on the main roads and installed cycle racks at the main entrance. Don’t know if it’s pedal cycles or motorised scooters but will certainly get you around quicker.
Had a great day there and it was so quiet and peaceful even with the work going on. Well worth a visit.
