Basically those places that are still allowed to open can do until 21.00. So not all bad for owners and we always eat early and could be home by then. So a 21.00 curfew is far better than lock down and as long as people Ex Pat and local abide by the rules we may escape the inevitable.

Others are saying after 21:00 the above places will be shut until the 4th January.
I am sure it will all become clearer as the day goes on

I am not sure what isn't clear. Bars are still closed but restaurants and everything else in the list can stay open until 21:00 after that they can offer a takeaway service.

EDIT:

Borrowed from the BRS.

As from December 28, 2020, the following businesses will have to close after 9pm. Cafes, restaurants, patisseries, betting offices, hairdressers, beauty centres, massage parlours, gyms, pita shops, simit shops, barbers’ shops. This does not affect their ability to open until 9pm. However, take-away delivery services can operate after 9pm.

The decision to close taverns, bars, clubs, and similar entertainment venues has been extended until 04 January 2021.

It has been necessary to repeat the decision we made regarding the New Year's Eve entertainment programs, which bans all New Year's Eve celebrations being held either on the street or indoors. It has been decided not to carry out any kind of entertainment activities until 4th January 2021.

The decision regarding the transportation sector has been reviewed (buses, minibuses, taxis, etc). It has been decided that the vehicles carrying out transportation must not carry passengers by the driver, but that the passengers in buses and minibuses should be in a seating arrangement so that the seat behind the driver remains empty.

It has been decided to extend the decision regarding the suspension of unquarantined entries for 3 days or less entering our country by charter flights, private aircraft, scheduled flights, and ships.

It was deemed appropriate to allow UN, EU, British High Commission, Buffer Zone and Peace Corps personnel to pass through the border gates provided they document negative PCR tests conducted in the last week.

Disgraceful.

susiesusie, a lot of the local population (plus a small minority of expats) appear to have given up on the seemingly endless changes to the rules and regs. Its cases like you describe when you wish to police would arrive out of the blue and heavily fine the lot of them, and double the fine of the driver. They go on at length about how lucky this country is to have survived the worst of the pandemic, and I constantly ask myself, HOW have they done it, other than the immediate shut down right at the beginning. Certainly not by present behaviour.

I read that there had been a change to public buses re the perspex, as complaints about how expensive and impractical it was, and a danger to the driver. The seats immediately behind the driver were to remain vacant, and the bus to run at half load capacity. Sorry, I don't have a link, read it sometime last week in one of the local online newspapers.

Initially there was talk of introducing fines for those drivers (most) that had failed to fit a protective screen. A few days later this was changed to as you say Mike that there is no longer a requirement to fit a screen but there was no one allowed to sit next to the driver or in the seats behind them. I have just looked at the source for where I read this and can no longer find any mention of it.

How any of this will be enforced is in doubt to my mind but those are the rules.

Yet again. Dolmus karaoglanoglu.
This time driver had a mask on.
Still people, behind him in the double seat. Then later he then picked up 2,passengers. 1 went in the front seat next to the driver. You just cant make it up can you.
