I was told - not until after 1/1/21, but this will probably mean anytime between 1st and 31st Jan, when all the paperwork is ready.

Where do we make payment, the same building as last year near the old tax office or in new building?

Is there any update on gas permits yet. Do we still pay at the old building or have they moved. Thank you.

Has anyone recd information on Gas Permit renewals for 2021
Is renewal at the office in Girne as in previous years
Whats the cost for 2021
It has always been a straightforward procedure handled very efficiently by the staff there.
Obviously we are all aware that much has happened since last January so some guidance would be appreciated,

Did mine a few days ago.it’s the same building as last year. Next to Hospital. Rate has gone up 7TL for large tanks and slightly less for smaller ones. Take plenty of change with you. I took my expired permit and it was very straightforward.

Went to pay last week, still in the same office in Girne. No queue, No fuss when i went on 8/1/21. You will require a mask and have to sign in at the main door.

Depending on the size of your tank anything between 71tl (500litre) to 105tl (1750litre)- about a 11% increase on last year. I believe you have up until 31/1/21 to pay or there is a small fine.

Did ours on Friday, no problem at all but be aware they close for lunch, I think it was 12.30 to 1.15. We got there are 1.15 and they were just opening. Cost is 73TL. Shame we can't do a survey to see how many locals actually pay this as opposed to we almost -always law abiders!! Never been asked for this by the way by the delivery guy.

I had planned to also go on Monday but with the new "lockdown" I guess that this non-essential department will be closed until 31 January.

Interesting to know if it is now closed as lock-down didn't happen.

Will try it tomorrow and let you know. Should think Government employees were expecting not to go into work today, so probably staff shortage.

Thanks DieHard. I have my appointment with the Polis on Thursday for residency so I'll do both jobs if I can.

Gas permit office open, unfortunate enough to get behind a lady doing 6 permits so took a while.
