Turkish Airlines have a 3-day sale, starting today, 13 January. 40% off ALL international flights from April 1 to December 31. Except for China and, yes, Ercan.

As the only international flights from Ercan are to Turkey, that's not such a hardship.

The remaining part of any other International journey starts from Turkey to 'wherever', with a new flight number, so should qualify for the discount.

Prices are good £250 return from Gatwick beginning of May, £500 business class.

Tried several dates. Still seems expensive to me. Is that 40% off overall cost inclusive of fuel etc???? Lost the will with THY.

I wonder if two tickets were purchased separately, Ercan to Ist. then Ist. to UK allowing time to transfer, would one be able to check in luggage for through flight from Ercan or have to exit at Ist. then re-enter luggage reclaim/customs/passport control?

£250 return for THY is an excellent price if from Ercan and okay from Ist.

Would not do that, did once and it was hassle. Anyway, if you did an Ercan to UK booking it would give you discount on IST-UK portion.

Just bought two flights for Heathrow to Ercan in May for £214 each return at nice times.
I think this is the cheapest ever comparatively.

Yep, the hope is this will be lifted when the numbers start to come down in the next 6 weeks. Vaccines should start to show a rapid effect starting in 2 weeks. Hopefully the TRNC vaccinations will start this month. Tourism is slated to start again on 1st April but there is talk of a vaccine certificate being needed so we'll have to see.

As a backstop the tickets are flexible.

I've booked for Nov on this deal but am sitting on TA flights for May, July, Aug & Oct too so fingers crossed

I've switched all flights from BA to TA for 2021 so see how the Larnaca immigration & green line issues pan out.

As I read it, you won’t be able to book a 40%-off flight and a separate flight from Turkey to Ercan even if you think it’s worth the hassle. Here’s TA’s current rule:
“Passengers departing from the UK will not be allowed to enter Turkey. Only transit passengers can board UK to Turkey flights.”
If you’ve booked a separate Ercan flight you’re not a transit passenger. All this could well change, but I sure as hell ain’t putting any money on the table now, 40% or not (the special deal ends tomorrow).
Incidentally, on the 40%-off TA website, the only “departure airport” options are IST and SAW.

When you open the TA site, use the first set of To and From boxes. Do not use the 40% reduction section below.
I'm the UK but I imagine the TA site is universal.
Using the first destination boxes you can put in Ercan/London Return or London/Ercan return and the dates and it will give you the full list of flights all at 40% reduction. So not having to leave the transit lounge at Istanbul.These are the lowest fares for years on TA that I have seen.
