If you have visited the USA then you may have come across the little brother of KFC, Popeyes Chicken.

Well we now have one in Girne. It is part of the Girne Lemar, the one that used to be Astro. The owners said a while ago that this would happen and here it is.

Still brand new and learning from our visit today but worth checking out as an alternative fast food emporium.

I don't suppose they do "biscuits" and mashed potatoes with gravy?

Other half is expert and she was drooling while eating the biscuit!!!
Did not look for mash but looking at menu think it is called pure.

Got so excited KENTUCKY, went today, defo first and last visit, service slow, staff excellent, but went for food, only comment don't compare it with Kentucky in England it would be a court case!!!

Stick to Gloria Jeans, BarbieB! So it isn't worth taking Alan in there then. Do theyu do Milk Shakes??

I did say it is new and they are still learning. Slow service because they cooked the stuff fresh and had not been sat around for 2 hours.
Other half prefers Popeyes to Kentucky, personal preference, and she thoroughly enjoyed her meal.

Yes Marions I should have played it safe till teething probs sorted! Sorry Cyprusishome, the slow service was when we took back our uncooked chicken, and waited for 20 minutes for replacement, went to get our money back, but staff were so apologetic that we decided to wait a bit longer (and was offered a free drink which we declined, and we were give complimentary chicken strips), however when we eventually got our meal we could not eat the chicken so wrapped it and took it for stray dogs. Maybe we were very unlucky, but do not think I will be repeating the experience, but I am so glad your experience was enjoyable.
