I just noticed tonight that the night floodlights on St Hilarion Castle are once again working after many years of darkness, and how marvellous it looks!

6pm tonight and all in darkness! Must have been a trial run for the millions of expected tourists this summer season!!!!!!!!!!!
How disappointing for the locals with a view of this iconic landmark to bring a little smile of joy, enduring rampant inflation, lockdown, winter cold whilst the politicians feed their back pockets of money which should go to the most needy of the community.

10pm tonight and lights back on and beautiful it looks too!
Somebody in power must have read this post and instructed to pull the electric lever to green!

Maybe the earthquake knocked the on /off switch?

Sunday 24th January, 9.40, no sign of light. Maybe the Scotsman working for Kibtek neglected his duties of pushing the 'ON' switch, still recovering from the 'Burns night' shindig weekend whisky blowout!
25th is the real date of 'Burns night'!

Stop tormenting; borrow someone else's camera or phone and paste it - I would have been able to see from my place, but I've not been able to come over since 2019.....

9.45pm switch on of old fashioned sodium floodlights which take ages to fully illuminate to maximum power around 10pm.
