Government Curfew Logic
If restaurants, bars, coffee houses, Et al are restricted to closing at 10pm and the curfew starts at 10pm how the hell does anyone get home at closing time without breaking the law?!
Best excuse for a legal 'lock-in' I've ever heard of until allowed to leave at 5am!!

Which is what they do at casinos and offer discounts for rooms. Of course it is possible to leave before 10pm or is that difficult.

No different to last lockdown in UK, no drinks served after 9.30m so there is half an hour drinking up time. How difficult difficult is it?

I think the problem is that if you leave the restaurant at 10pm Sophie you are outside the curfew on your journey hoe no matter how long it takes.

Re: Government Curfew Logic
If the point is to reduce the risk of crowding and encourage social distancing then reducing the hours didn't make sense.
If a bar generally does most of it's evening business between 7 and midnight then making it close at 10 makes no sense.
Some will go along and have a drink from 7 to midnight, so will have a drink between 7 and 10 whereas some wouldn't normally go in a bar until after 9. All the reduced hours do is encourage all customers to go in at the same time.

From 5pm? How can that be when some people don't leave work until then? Me for one!

It's been a year now it still seems very knee jerk un-joined up thinking.
I can see this time last year governments had very little data and lunged into actions to buy time while the smoke cleared but a year on there should now be more coordinated plans.

What do you reckon?
Lockdown areas but we won't put in roadblocks, quarantine guests in hotels and casinos but let the staff come and go, that kind of thing?

My initial question was rhetorical showing up the Government foolhardy rules & regulations not been thoughtfully and practically considered in reality!
Kyrenia & Nicosia heading for full lockdown.
