City lockdown?

Hello just speculation but do people think the lockdown between areas will be stopped or extended on Monday?
I am really hoping to be able to travel out of my location for various purposes so it's preying on my mind.
Clearly we have no influence over this and it probably depends greatly on the case numbers in the next few days. I see the most recent daily case count at 34 and this will be people who caught the virus 10-14 days ago.
Just musing really and looking for others thoughts on this

I don't know either but I suspect they will extend it for another week with the option of until the end of the month. As you say it will depend entirely on the numbers going up or down over the next few days.
In many ways I hope they stick with it a little bit more to make sure the numbers aren't just a blip. I know that makes life difficult for people like yourself who really need to get on with life for obvious reasons. I can see both sides of the argument. Yes the economy is vitally important to us all but if we are all in hospital or dying that becomes less significant.
I also think that here as in the UK it is more about trying to ensure the Health service isn't stretched to breaking point as it almost is here.

I think that sadly we are in for a further extension beyond the 15th. It makes sense to halt the progress of the spread now or it will only get worse if you stop the lock down too early. I would like them to open it up for just a day - so I can selfishly go and get supplies from the Yapi - but then I suppose that is just being damn stupid as everyone would rush out and it would be hard to get them to return to lock down the next day.
We just have to wait and see but better to stay safe than to risk this situation getting worse!!!

fact is:
-the UK (Kent) variant stands for 80% of all cases.
-more than 1000 cases in last month, more then one third of all cases since march 2020.
-active cases tripled in one month to 750.
-with the new numbers given as 34 for yesterday, the incidence value for the last 7 days /100k people stands at 113.
(Israel 450, UK 170, Germany 70)
113 is far far to high, especially for the UK variant, especially for NC.
target would/should be "something" around 20, better lower (due to the UK variant).
meaning, approx 10 infections a day for 7 days successively = total 70 in one week.
so, there is no other way to continue with the hard lockdown after the 15th, as today we have the 11th already...

Lockdown is an absolute joke..... so, our TC neighbour has been out all day, and before anyone says it....he is retired so not going to work or essential shopping... ha ha... our other TC neighbour had visitors, and different visitors yesterday..... but, we, as in us.... continue to do the right thing even if idiots don't... we are safe in our garden, not going anywhere, not visiting anyone... can everyone else say the same.... nope, thought not. Taking the p**s big time..... hey ho... we will continue to be locked down, people will continue to complain about not being able to earn income...... hmmmmm who's fault is that then?

mrsgee, we can say the same, only out for essential shopping then straight back in again. Watching the "Walking Dead" go up the mountains every day - to do their shopping? - and back down again. No masks between the lot of them and in groups as well. It's not just locals either, expats dog walking wherever they want too, quads and motorbikes racing up the roads, it's a normal day for us apart from no parade of cement mixers going past.
I for one just can not understand why kids and adults think they are immune and that it just will not affect them - maybe they are and maybe it won't but for me just keep the lockdown on and get more police out on the minor roads or watch the death toll rise!!!

I have just checked the action log and no one had blocked your comment. Must be a glitch in the system or post submitted before completion.

Why is it that some expats think they are above the law?
We see two or three sets of expats passing our house with their dogs every day, sometimes twice a day - even last Sunday.
Am I right in understanding that the lockdown rules prohibit outdoor exercise and "hiking" which is why the Lapta coastal path is closed?
If dogs need toileting then it is acceptable to walk them up and down outside your own property but a more than half hour walk away from home is stretching it a bit.
People complain about local TCs breaching the lockdown regulations but I think that expats, as guests in this country, should set a better example.
I am sure the majority do but just a minority think the rules do not apply to them.

I walk the shop most days with my daughter it's about 1200 meters away. I could go in the car but need the exercise. Just being honest . Never pass anybody.

Will they extend the lockdown? I feel that they will for a week or two. The numbers need to be a lot lower, plus the hospitals need time to recover patients, admissions lower and the numbers in ITU need to be reduced.

Of they extend the lockdown for too long its going to make it extremely difficult for those people who had their first jab in Lefkosia, but live in say, Karaoglanoglu. They were given a date to return for the second jab but no time, consequently it will be impossible to give a time on the Street Permit form and it will probably be refused. On top of that, if I understand correctly, as they are leaving one district to enter another they will have to have another Neg/Pos test.

Just looked on kibris news and:
Communicable Diseases Supreme Council convened for a reassessment of the measures that will expire on Monday, February 15
So might get an indication today of the status quo
Rockin all over the world...
