Good morning the most recent thread on this subject has been locked so asking for advice please.
Which particular police certificate is accepted for P2P is it the £55 one with passport photo on or the ‘subject access’ one.
Anybody know how long you have to have been living here before a UK police check is no longer necessary?

The certificate is free from your relevant police department subject access but to a UK address.
They ( here) will not accept a downloaded version it has to be the actual letter, I was told it had to be signed in blue pen!
Try telling that to the UK police.
Even though we have had PTP before and lived here permanently for 15 years we still have to get the police disclosure paper.

Previously, the free subject access form has been accepted but last year they refused it because it didn't have a wet signature. We had to get the £55 police certificates which have a hologram on them. They seem to have been accepted.

All we needed was a £23 Basic DBS Check online here

Thanks but DBS is for people who are employed which does not apply to us oldies!
I thought a free report was too good to be true!
