I withdrew some TL from an ATM today and was shocked to see an 8% charge for this service , that is daylight robbery, when was this increase introduced.

Which bank? No charge at Credit West.

Which atm was this?

Bankomatic just past Starling supermarket in Alsancak, in the same row as Captain Bank.

That should be near CapItal bank.

I think some charge and some don't as I found at the ATM's opposite Garfield. I have never been charged at Iktisat so I would try there in future.

Capital Bank don't charge.

I'm always a bit wary of "Bankomatics" because I'm never sure which bank they "report" back to and only use them if I have no other choice, which is rare.

Will definitely not be using that machine again, thanks for the tips regarding other bank machines.

I only use an atm at a bank if theres a problem you can go straight in. Had issues with car park machines in the past.

Its good to use ATM at a bank because if you're not quick enough and the machine swallows your card you can walk into bank and arrange to get card back. In my case there and then as Driving Licence has P/P number on the rear.

Did you withdraw using a UK credit/debit card or a TRNC bank debit/credit card??
