I agree and doesn't tempt me to open the link. It could be anything including places I don't want to be taken. At least give members a clue as to what it is about and that way they will be more able to decide if they even want to open it.

Why give them 10 days notice shutting down of course thousands flocked In and still coming in daily. Beyond belief.

The UK govt has done this all along and then they tell the gullible public that they have a leading strategy for entry to the country, meanwhile an immigration officer at Heathrow tells the real story large amount of people in a confined space for several hours trying to get through passport control. I must confess I am carefully watching the numbers with interest I have read 50-70% infection rate of the Indian strain and great concerns over the South African strain which is not thought to respond to the vaccine both of which could impact here in a few weeks time. I have not seen any information on the strains being found in Turkey where the infection rate is thought to be high

I suppose letting the 20,000 Indians in, is because the vast majority are either UK citizens, registered students or at least have property in the UK. Much the same as letting plane loads of students and citizens of the TRNC back here, when the numbers were falling quite markedly.

But hasn't TRNC done something similar, stopping entry from several countries from 24th May?

They didn’t want to ban them as Boris had a meeting scheduled with the Indian PM as UK is hoping to get a trade deal as it was meeting was cancelled
