Double vaccinated ones will be able to come to our country without quarantine" CYPRUS 20 May 2021 Thursday 23:02 Prime Minister Ersan Saner answered the questions of Ali Baturay and Özdemir Tokel in the live program he participated in BRT. Saner said that people with double vaccines from the countries on the list to be published as of June 10 can come to the TRNC without quarantine. Saner said that countries will be listed according to certain criteria, and that people from countries other than the countries on the red list, who are double vaccinated, can come to the island by having PCR tests done. The Prime Minister stated that the lists to be determined by the Ministry of Health will be announced. Saner noted that the application will be on June 10, but efforts have been made to take it to June 3. Saner also said that the QR code application will be made for those who will come to the country without quarantine.

When it says without quarantine, does this refer to hotel quarantine only, or does it include home quarantine too?

No quarantine at all....anywhere.
Sounds promising, although I am expecting to not be on the green list, so will have to perhaps do single or double pcr… which I am more than willing to do to get to my house in cyprus for the first time in almost 2 years.

If all goes well for UK, does anyone know please whether under 16 year old will have to quarantine if they can't be vaccinated?

A slight change it is now
From 7 June 2021, the entry criteria after the technological infrastructure is completed will be as follows.
Country colour categories will be updated weekly. The country risk levels (colour categories) will apply to transit passengers.
From abroad
With vaccination
Red 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. PCR test after 10 days quarantine.
Orange 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. No quarantine with PCR test between 72 and 96 hours.
Yellow 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. No quarantine with PCR test after 72 hrs.
Green No pre-flight PCR test required. No quarantine.
No PCR test required.
Without vaccination
Red 72 hr PCR test pre-flight.
PCR test after 10 days quarantine.
Orange 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. PCR test after 10 days quarantine.
Yellow 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. PCR test after 7 days quarantine.
Green 72 hr PCR test pre-flight. No quarantine
Borders
1=Mandatory, Resident, Student, Workers
2= Health
3=Arbitrary (by choice? leisure?)
Red 1) 7 day negative PCR test.
2) 72 hour negative PCR test.
3) Closed

Flights to the UK either straight from TRNC or back to UK after a holiday or break will require 14 days quarantine , at your expense , as Turkey is on the red list . So really not a lot of good . Will not help the tourist trade here at all .

Just what we are thinking....hopefully an address in TRNC will not be an issue, as flying via Istanbul is not really an option at the moment

Indeed.
Not viable as yet for tourists.
But if the south goes green before the main season people may be able to take advantage.

We know of a address in the south we once stayed at will give them that.
Then cross over if its at the boarder then will give them a hotel name.
