Is there a limit to the amount of sterling you can withdraw per transaction at TEB ATMs please?

The only limits I am aware of are those placed upon your debit cards by the UK banks. However, if you are asking about sterling withdrawals from a TEB sterling account then I am sorry, I can not help you as I bank with Turk Bank. Good luck with your question.

I draw out sterling from the Turkish banks and the only restrictions I have found over the years is whatever my UK banks allow.

There was a discussion on here several months ago (more than a year ago maybe...) about the fact that after a few consecutive £500 withdrawals in one month, TEB seemed to impose a lower limit, or possibly not even allow a Sterling withdrawal.

I think the limit is £1700 from a uk account.

For info I was able to withdraw £560 in one transaction yesterday.

They are limiting you to £800 a month per person at the moment. Popped in to TEB to ask. They say it is because there is a shortage of sterling on the island because of the lack of tourists. If you have two people who have cards on the account its £800 each.

No mention of charges. What are they charging these days for ATM transactions? I used to draw Sterling from my Nationwide account as they don't charge but I thought all of the banks here did now.

I get charged using a nation wide card. Guessing it depends on what type of card or account you have. Typically get charged 4 5% upwards.

I'm with Nationwide and recently withdrew £300 from Garanti at a cost of £15!! Couldn't find any £ in Girne used ATM in Lefkoşa

I withdrew £560 from TEB Alsancak ATM on Saturday and have just taken a further £700 today.

Oh, so its J and J who have cleaned out that machine. TEB don't know when they will refill it either!!!

Yep guilty as charged sorry. In my defence it's not for me but helping out a friend who can't get here.

Went to the teb atm to get sterling out. Auto response said I.have reached my 800 pounds limit for the month. Since it is a new month I can only presume it's a rolling month and not a calander one!.
That makes it more difficult to.manage.

Seems that Turkish banks are being more generous as to filling up with sterling this last week. Garanti charging 4.99% on GBP. Have never been warned about reaching a sterling limit in a month, I thought my only restriction was set by UK Bank.
