For discussion.
Should all the people who, at present, have to have a PCR test, also have to get vaccinated.
All or most are in the service industry and come into contact with the general population so are a conduit for spreading covid before they are due their next PCR test.

Good question, but there is no proof as yet that any vaccine prevents you from still being a carrier of the virus. If the vaccine did prevent you from spreading the virus there would be no need to wear a mask either but again there is no proof of that. The nearest anyone I have found will say that the vaccine is the magic bullet is that there is some evidence that the vaccine will reduce your chances of carrying and spreading by 25%. The whole idea of the vaccines is to lesson the effects of the virus and enable herd immunity to be achieved faster. The PCR test is a lot like the MOT test in that it can prove a negative or positive almost Immediatley after it is taken.

Anyone working in Social Care in any function whatsoever without a really genuine reason for not having a vaccination, should have been sacked months ago. I don't want to know about their "Human Rights". There are far too many such individuals working in numerous Care Homes in the UK, moving from one to the other, who passed the virus around as they went. I also don't to hear about peoples Religion or the possibility of the vaccine altering peoples DNA either.

If you have the view that the vaccine is the magic bullet and once you and your loved ones have it then you will be immune. Then why does it matter if others have the vaccine or not? You’re immune

They won't have had, but others here of the same age will not have either ... it's irrespective of their skin colour.

Can't see any mention of skin colour.

Don't worry, Mr Ian Crumpy is probably a Lewis Hamilton fan.

As Africa hasn’t been particularly hard hit by covid there is less chance of them bringing the virus over than pretty much any other continent.

Quite. One wonders why the subject of "African students" was brought into the thread.
As to me being a "Lewis Hamilton fan", no I'm not into motorsports at all.
Have a nice day.

Not got much truck with the BLM movement as I think it is very divisive but you have to acknowledge that the African students who have remained in the TRNC over the last year or so have probably suffered more than most.
I don’t know how many African students have entered the TRNC more recently but you assume that the controls that are in place would filter out the statistically few that are carrying the virus. Much more risk is coming in from Turkey but I guess they are less visible.

Yes, they have indeed - Over the last year, many of them were unable to support themselves financially and had no family to fall back on.

Going back to the original post, lots of countries are not stating that the vaccine is compulsory but making life very difficult for people if they are not vaccinated. How long before employment contracts stipulate that you must be vaccinated? There is already talk of it at our place.
