Former England, Ipswich and Arsenal star has died of brain cancer, aged 68
The former striker scored 139 goals in 339 games for Ipswich over eight years
He won 35 caps for England, scoring 13 goals including a vital strike vs. Hungary
Tributes have poured in for Mariner from his former clubs and team-mates

Mariner was a good player and by all accounts a very nice guy.

I went to college with Paul doing engineering course when he played for Chorley and we used to go playing snooker together, he was a good player then and was watched by the likes of Shankly , then he broke his leg and all looked grim until Plymouth signed him, and he never looked back, RIP Paul
