following the banks re opening has any one successfully used their card to withdraw money or are the "technical" problems still on going?

Have used two UK cards and two separate banks since end of Bayram, absolutely no problem at all.

we cant take money out of near east atms, sah, supreme etc. but found in the end could withdraw money from turkish bank. apparently its card plus machines that are giving the problems.

Looks like I will have to go to town then I wont use car park atm,s. Which banks did you use benjaminbutton?

The ATM at the end of the Starlings building in Alsancak. (next to small Illeli) The ATM in the K-Pet garage, next to Gloria Jeans in Alsancak. I saw people taking money out of a Garanti Bank in Girne yesterday as well. In my case I use Halifax card.

I used my uk card today for the first time since before Bayram. It worked perfectly. so much for Credit West saying there was a problem with the magnetic strip there isnt. So happy I didnt cancel my card.

Just shows Deniz1, be like me, be suspicious of everything the banks tell you, regardless of whether they be a Turkish or a TRNC bank. They are all at it!!!!!

I am very wary of all banks! So glad I waited getting a new card from the uk is a nightmare at the moment.
