The shortage was due to the closure of breweries as a result of coronavirus restrictions no yeast was produced.
It is back in most shops here in the uk

Would not know! Can’t get it here anyway. Like both ingredients separately or Marmite with cheese and peanut butter with strawberry jam. Can’t see the point of Marmite and Peanut butter but will give it a try - one day!

Hmmm
Not keen on Marmite on its own, but I love peanut butter.
I'm going to try mixing some up myself - you never know!

Careful Keith - if people learn that you actually have Marmite, it might not be safe for you to go out again - lol. Latest TRNC headlines:
"Kidnapped for Marmite ransom in Northern Cyprus" - FCO says they are in contact with the relatives.........

In reply to Waddo I have put your question to Claire Lamb who organizes these monthly events , with the help of her good friends, at Seabreeze to help so many worthy causes. Does it really matter what size it is? All proceeds raised will go to help the childrens gymnastics team go forward thereby giving them a goal, encouragement and purpose in life.
At the moment Claire has received 2 bids of 200 TL.. Can there by more? Come on folks dig deep.

Quite, I doubt it is going to be a bargain as such.
Great idea for an auction

I hate and loathe the squeezy containers. I virtually dislocated a thumb trying to get it out. Finally attacked it with a pair of scissors and scooped it out. I finally won the battle, but the container put up a good fight.

There were a few small jars in large Ilelis two weeks ago, and I bet they went in 24 hours. No idea of price but. Off topic BUT there seems to be quite a good supply of Robertsons mince meat around but I bet it won't last long.
