Keith, confusion reigns! Translation makes it worse and information available from other than the Gov website just compounds the problem. It seems there are differences between indoor and outdoor and what the establishment is registered as. Along with that are different rules for workers and of course making the decision over what is a bar or club or restaurant or coffe shop - I still await the rules on toilets - lol.

We gave up in the end, both double vaccinated and both wander to the nearest testing place every week and take a free antigen test. In addition we both now carry the Ada Pass - which is sometimes accepted in the South as well but only if you can provide photo ID with it - driving licence works!

Update!

The Saturday morning coffee crowd moved to Gloria Jeans and were allowed in on the basis of their vaccination cards!

Bye-bye ileli ;)

Apparently Niazis are asking for your vaccination cards.

We need to get used to this now - the South have been using "Safe Pass" for a time and that appears to be working, the North are doing the same thing with Ada Pass but if you can't get it then they will end up with very tatty vaccination cards! Some super markets don't seem to bother, not even with booking in or temp checks!

The solution and safety are in our own hands!!!

Waddo, in order to avoid tatty vaccination cards I've been had ours laminated, and very posh they look too. One day in the future I might have them framed and put on the wall as well.

Did that with my residency card and shrunk it to same size as driving license at the same time. Police on check points very happy with it! My vaccination card not worth doing as not my whole name on it and it was scribbled rather than printed so it could be any old name - lol. Nobody cares but me - lol.

In the future, will we look back at our vaccination certificates in the same way our elders looked back on ration books?

It’s all quite random mind. The karpaz Marina required that we had a certificate and <72 hour pcr (this has changed now) but we stopped at a hotel during the week and they didn’t even ask to see our certificate.

Trigger, I know what you mean about random. No one seems to have a flippin clue do they, Plus when is a cafe inside and when is it outside. In the case of two I visit in Alsancak =======When three side of a room has windows or doors, floor to ceiling that slide open.!!!

We were told at Basilick we could not go inside without a PCR test.

You could go in with a PCR test no older than 72 hours if you have not had a vaccination

You could go in with a PCR test 1 week old if you had been double vaccinated.

We just sat outside.

Same thing in the South as well! Wife went in before me and no problem - double vaccinated plus antigen less than 7 days old. I followed later, different security guy, no problem with double vaccinated but antigen had to be less than 72 hours old.

No moans from me just asked if he would contact my wife as I had left the car keys with her when I came out to get a bag and now could not get in the car. Confusion in Greek between three other security guys - general consensus was that nobody could agree so they just let me in - lol.
