a terrible incident took place last night, a friend of ours 73 year old lady, at 11-30pm was attacked in her own home in Tatlisu two me wearing balaclavas and masks , gloves threatened her with knives, gaged her and stole money, lap top, phone , these B......s need catching fast, she was admitted to hospital after alerting a neighbor.

She was home this morning with police and fiends .

Shocking that. Sad times. I didn’t think that sort of thing happened out here. I hope your friend is okay.

Are there any descriptions of the attackers?

I hope the police refer to the army satellite system which monitors all TRNC movements and when the culprits are found (if non-TC's) to be extradited and escorted to their homeland exiting by swimming away, as punishment, from these shores! If TC's god help them when incarcerated!

I'm very sorry to hear this. I hope the lady is getting all the support she needs.

How very sad and frightening for this poor lady, be strong . Hope things get back to normal for you soon.

A man and a woman (both 41 years old) have been arrested (see source), but the police are still searching for a third suspect thought to be involved in this awful assault/robbery.

One hopes that Ms Whyte is now feeling better
