Can anyone tell me if Liothyronine is available over the pharmacy counter in North Cyprus? It's for an underactive thyroid.

I think it is sold under the name "EUTHYROX"

You can buy any medication over the counter except for green and red prescriptions

Thank you but Euthyrox is the same as Levothyroxine which is a T4 substitute, I am after a T3 substitute, which Liothyronine is. It's hard to get it prescribed in the UK which is why I wondered if it's available in North Cyprus.

It looks as if the Turkish version is Tiromel, I take the Turkish version of levothyroxine which is readily available and reasonably cheap so I imagine same is true for Tiromel. If you Google Tiromel you should get an idea if it's suitable.

Oh boy I apologize for the mistake with the active ingredient!

I'm happy that you lot realized it before too late!
