Interesting to see what TRNC owners are paying for the heating bills in the winter weeks ?
It would be helpful to state what heating you have and if a villa, apt, or house for comparison ?
What heating do you use dual air con, gas central heating, wood burner or any other form of heating ?

We have a 3 bed apartment, dual aircon approx 45 pounds per week.

We have a bungalow, and have used 1 small gas bottle. We only warm the living room though.

I have a local wood burner in the lounge and that's mainly all I use . Electric blanket on 10 minutes before I go to bed, and gas fire in the bathroom for when I have a shower.

Haven't been able to work out the winter heating bills as yet, but in the past we have had a mixture of gas fires, log fire, halogen and kerosene heaters. All being used during the winter depending on the room in question. This year we decided to stick 100% to halogen and A/C (which we've never used for heating before and put on for about an hour at 6ish) I can't imagine the bill this month will be less than 400tl and probably nearer 480tl and I don't care!! Our house is totally open plan and is dreadful to heat in the winter. Much cooler than many properties in the summer though.

Hi

We have a 2 bed bungalow with a wood burner in the lounge which is open plan to the kitchen. It doesn't cost a lot to run this as we go beach combing for wood and dry this out for a year on the roof terrace before using, hubby cuts this up once it is dry. We have a fan heater in the bedroom which we put in the bathroom to warm this up before having a shower. We use hot water bottles in the bed, as we have a memory foam mattress we cannot use electric blankets. In the winter I change the mattress cover to a fleece one and use flannelette sheets, these make a huge difference. I have just received my electric bill for the month 156ytl. and this was with all the xmas lights on for 3 weeks.
