Hi folks at long last we can get back out to our place in the sun. Does anyone have recommendations for eye lens replacement? Also the approximate costs. I’m only need one eye done as about 11 years ago I had one eye laser For reading and the other eye for distance. My reading has gone again due to old age aaggghhh. Thanks in advance

He operated on both my cataracts with no issues whatsoever. Having been to his hospital on several occasions I can attest to his popularity, especially with local people. He is a very busy man with an excellent reputation.

I recommend you discuss your optical needs with him. He speaks excellent English.

Dr Huseyin in Kyrenia specialist in laser surgery. He is at Kamiloglu hospital.

I am with Dr Huseyn in Kamilologhu hospital and having the op at the end of the month cost 6000 tl.
Will let you know. My friend had his done wlswhere and it was a disaster she fitted the wrong lens and he's almost blind on that eye. It wasn't Dr Guvener .

Laser surgery one eye

Dr Huseyin is doing my replacement lens surgery next month, takes 3 to 4 weeks for lenses to arrive, £1200 per eye.
£600 for lens, £600 for op which includes cataract removal.

My husband is waiting for lenses to arrive as sukicat post. Will let you know how it goes

Further to my post I spoke with Dr Husyn re the difference in lens prices, he informed me as I AMD in my eyes he an only fit a distance lens and not one of the much more expensive verification ones. I hope this helps people understand the difference in pricing

Had y cataractdone at Kamiloglu by dr Husyn yesterday and very pleased so far.met at hospital with about 6 others and it was very proffesionaly done op was painless and quick plenty of reassurance from the doctor. Wore an eye patch for 24 hours and after seeing the doctor today and removal of patch can see colours and drive again. Next appointment in three weeks . Total cost for mono lens 6000tl

Get on a plane and go to Dunya Goz in Antalya from TRNC. They have a website, they'll also be insured in case there is any problem and will tell you if you contact them through their website how much it will cost and the staff speak English. They are World renowned. My eyes both have acrylic lenses. I have had them since 2009. I had a cataract in both eyes at the time. It also depends on your age for lenses. Anyone 50+ might have an issue with the thickness of the eye tissue, but they will tell you which other methods they can use if it is a problem. The Dr mentioned by all here is a good eye surgeon but i dont know whether it includes a bed after the op in his Clinic or whether he has the necessary insurance and no doubt I will be corrected here if I'm wrong. Dunya Goz has everything from a restaurant to Nurse care all included. When i had it all done the lot was £2200 in 2009 https://www.dunyagoz.com/tr. The airport transfer isn't expensive either.

Kamiloğlu Hospital, he is very reassuring excellent command of the English language.
All the equipment is up to date and very clean

Had my eye procedure in August, amazing how bright everything is, and no longer need long distance glasses.

The cost does include a room with a bed before and after the op.

Would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Husain.

Also includes follow up appointments.
