Gas bottles - seem to be 'unavailable'!

Some may be aware that the LPG suppliers in the TRNC (x 2) last week wanted to increase domestic gas bottles by 30% due to global price increase of LPG. The decision has been referred to the council of ministers this week, and radio silence since then.

LPG suppliers say no old stock and only new stock at increased price. Yesterday we went to buy gas (we have koop bottles) and couldn't find any - one garage said there are no gas bottles anywhere at the moment (we are in Catalkoy and went as far as Karakum). A TC friend confirmed there are no gas bottles at the moment.

Is anyone else having an issue? If not, has anyone seen koop gas bottles for sale?

Thanks all.

All the gas supply markets in our area , Karsiyaka , say they have no gas . All of their lockable compounds are empty . If they had sold all of their old stock these compounds would be full of empty bottles . They have obviously removed their old stock until the price goes up to make an increased profit . The only shop that appears not to have done this is the one on the Square at Chamlibel , that is where our gas will come from in future . We will not support these profiteering greedy people .

Having just read the article in yeniduzen, I wonder what action was taken against the perpetrators who wanted a 32tl increase. Will we ever know??
