Residency over 60

Just a quick query, now that i can go straight to Lefkosia with my paperwork and get the job done in one, how crucial is the date I go? I know before when we had to go to the police and then hospital and then Lefkosia the date was not a worry as long as you were within a few weeks, they just back dated your stamp.
Something is niggling in my mind that with the new system I have read somewhere I to be more precise with my application?
Or as before is there an allowance of a few days either side?

Mine was due on the 1st Jan. I went along on the 11th Jan and they just processed it and back dated it to the 1st. Only took about 10 minutes.

Well, we are just back from doing our renewal, half an hour from getting ticket to walking down steps to car. To be safe I took kocan copy as well, and it wasnt returned to me!! Rest is as I said earlier, bankstatement, Muhktars letter, pink booklet, copies of photo page and last stamp of p/port. I filled in the form previously and just signed it there in front of her. (Find it on members section BRS website)

Answer for Halfful

In answer to question as to how early one can go in and renew, the answer from the very nice good looking young lady who dealt with us, was one week. Now I am not too happy with that as I am sure it used to be 2 weeks. But on reading above, it looks as though going in a little late is ok, as they backdate it - if that is easier to do, Halful, than going in early.....and I bet someone will come on saying they went in x number of weeks early and was ok. Things change! You can always call in the Girne Police Immigration and ask them, if you are near. Mehmet, speaks English (enough). Good luck!
