Does any one know of solar energy systems that can be used to power household electric? I’m looking at installations of panels to both be environmentally friendly and guard against power cuts

In plain English, please can you explain here the regulations for domestic solar installations.
Thanks.

I was told that solar panels for power is a different system to one that gives you back up during a power cut. I dont think one system does both but I may be wrong.

1. for single phase max 5 kW inverter power, but more solar power is permitted (eg, 5 kW inverter + 6 kWp solar)
for 3 phase 8 kW inverter
2. the max to be installed power is limited by your usage during the last 12 month.
3. additional a second electric meter is required and other "disturbing" permissions has to be collected/shown. belediye, residency... the lot...

we differ "on grid" and "off grid" (with batteries) systems. an on grid system can not work off grid (during a power cut) , an off grid system could also work on grid. a "back up system" basically is an off grid system with mains connection (to charge the batteries) , here solar power is not required, but could be installed as well.

My electricity consumption is low it would take many years to recoup the cost of a solar system but I may be interested in a back up system I dont think I can deal with a generator.
