TB test for residency.

Having been allocated the furthest clinic in Girne from home for the blood tests and TB check we where a bit annoyed that we would have to go twice through all the traffic after getting (We presumed) the indicator scratch test then go back two days later.
Pleasantly surprised that they did a chest x-ray.
Thought that they stopped years ago due to the cost
Wasn't asked to show ADA Pass.

It’s always been a bugbear of mine. I realise that they want to share the business around but there are enough of these places around that it shouldn’t be too much of a challenge to allocate you a clinic near your home

For some reason you are not allowed to know the results unless negative.

May be its like it was with us 19 years ago. In no way was the TB machine working. The same plate was used for two of us and I was going to remove a necklace and brooch and was told it wasn't necessary. Equipment made the right sort of noise though!!

Many years ago I was told that if you get a sealed envelope, which you are not allowed to open, that everything is fine. If there is a problem, they will soon tell you about it. Wish I had known that from the start, as there's always a worry in your mind that something might be wrong to get in the way of obtaining residency.

Having been a resident here for some years now, we have never been asked to do a TB test - and until now, never heard it was necessary. Is it to do with age or working here etc??

For residency it's under 60s only.
