Both in Kibris and Cyprus mail:

"As of 08:00 on Monday, September 27, 2021, Covid-19 test will not be requested from fully vaccinated people at the border crossings within the island. At the meeting of the Bi-Communal Health Technical Committee on September 23, it was decided to apply the level 2, that is, the orange level, according to the epidemiological data of both sides."

Coronavirus: No test for vaccinated wanting to go north
No coronavirus test will be required for fully vaccinated persons who wish to visit the north from Monday, it was announced on Thursday night.
A statement from the United Nations in Nicosia said that the bicommunal technical committee on health during their latest meeting on Thursday, decided that the test requirement for vaccinated people will no longer be necessary from September 27.
For the unvaccinated, a 72-hour negative rapid or PCR test will still be required. The exceptions are high school students crossing over for studies and people residing in isolated Kato Pyrgos who will instead need a 7-day negative rapid or PCR test."

Great news as its about £100 each for a private covid test and a worry it would be back in time, just all the paperwork still to fill out now for our up and coming trip, been a long 20month wait

Think the above is just in relation to crossings between the two sides, not arrivals from the UK.

I dont think that you need a PCR test to travel to Cyprus from UK if you are double jabbed..?

No you don't need a test if double jabbed to get into Cyprus at the moment.

Seems like you might have to be on the island for 10 days or more to be able to cross to the north without a pcr test.

Tourism will be hit big style in the north if they don't review this in my view!

If you flew via Larnaca how would they know at the border that you hadn't been in the south for 10 days, do the north and south tracking systems speak to each other. North will need to be careful economically it could be quite damaging!

Well we’re coming over on Tuesday and we’re taking no chances as we’ve been waiting two years to get back, so we will be getting our pcr test tomorrow even though for landing in Larnaca we don’t need it but we do to cross over (atm). I hope after all this and being double jabbed neither of us tests positive!

Even though we don't need a PCR test to cross the border if we are double-vaccinated, does anyone know what we need to be able to go in shops etc?

your ada pass or proof of vaccinaions should suffice. I know the North accepts the South's Cov Pass app, the equiv of the ada pass

A lot of the shops in the South accept AdaPass, the rest will accept your vaccination card. However, beware as many will ask for proof of identification! The vast majority will accept your TRNC driving license whilst some require a passport. Have only once had a problem and that was with a scruffy old “Security Officer” in Alfamega some weeks ago.

What can I say? After a disagreement and following an intervention by the management - I carried on inside to complete my shopping trip. The same "Security Guard" had been replaced by the time I left. There was no problem between myself and management but I did note that management were not happy with the attitude of the guard.

PCR test not needed any longer when crossing the border to south and vice versa. Great news. One thing just puzzles me. If the color orange is the key issue, why do I and my wife need a PCR test when flying from Finland (orange country at the moment) via Istanbul (same color) to TRNC (same color)?

The rules for intra island crossings are different to international arrivals. If you land at larnaca and go straight to the north you would be treated as having come from Finland and would need to show a PCR test.

OK, so the color orange has no clear meaning. I still don´t quite understand how my EU Green Pass is not enough - from a medical point of view - when entering the TRNC but the same document is all I need when crossing the border to south and back.

The orange category has a very clear meaning.
The TRNC entry rules are quite strict as the infrastructure is not in place to deal with a large outbreak.
Hope this makes it a bit clearer...

How did you get on with the RoC Flight Pass Toradoshi? Our flight number isn't listed and the drop down menu's for Country of Departure and Airport of Arrival don't work. I've e-mailed them twice but naturally there's been no response. Also did you put an address in that you were staying in TRNC? Lastly did you put reason for travel as Hollidays, visiting friends or family etc?
Many thanks in advance.

MnM, I completed ROK flight pass for family last week, they came on Saturday with no problems, I could not complete the flight details until 48 hours before when the drop down boxes started to work, I put my address in Bellapais and I put holiday as reason, another thing, the BRS have stated today the same as post 10 above, ie 10 days in country before beginning able to cross without PCR, therefore people coming on holiday still need PCR tests

MnM you can only do that 3 days before you fly and then your number will be there.

Can I please ask again, as my nerves are shot to pieces! We are double jabbed in UK and have the NHS print out to prove it. We had PCR tests before flying into Larnaca a month ago. We crossed the border into the north ok. We are now flying back to the UK via Larnaca. Do we or do we not, still require a PCR test to cross back into the south and get to Larnaca airport?
We are told that there were 2 hour queues at the border going south yesterday because some Israeli tourists didn't have the PCR test.
You just need a Negative Antigen test result to cross border and get on plane:
UK Residents Double Vaccinated by NHS traveling from R0C:
Within 72 Hour Negative Antigen or PCR Test required prior to entry – children aged 10 and under do not need to take this test
No Quarantine if vaccinated under the UK vaccination programme (from 19th July) Show proof of your vaccination status to your carrier (ferry, airline or train) when you travel.
PCR Test to be done on 2nd Day - Children aged 4 and under do not need to take this test:

Hector, from today 4th October new rules came in, NO PCR test required to enter UK if double vaccinated by NHS and have proof from NHS, you need a flight locator form uploaded with the information that you have purchased a day 2 PCR test. You don’t need a PCR test to cross North to South

It appears to be working for now in that you don't need a PCR or any variation thereof to cross north to south and vice versa provided you can prove you are double vaccinated.. I say for now as I wonder how long it will be before all the laboratory's, and hospitals not to mention chemists start protesting about their lost revenue all in a 'noble and just cause' of course.

Arrivals at the border will be antigen /PCR tested, where and how I don't know.

If you do need a test the first chemist you come to on the Greek side just before you get to the cokeacola factory does them for peanuts and results in ten minutes.

Only tourists - not people that have been here for more than 10 days. Those that have been on the island for more than 10 days are subject to level 2 crossing rules.

My question is where do tourists coming from larnaca airport, through Metahan, get tested In the late hours/early hours?

As I read it they will be tested at the crossing by TC officials - the same as at Ercan for arrivals by air.
Are you seeing something different?
