TEB bank.

A post on another forum today. British customer who does not live here full time was told to get residency or the bank will not allow her to have an account in the near future. All banks will soon be doing this she was told. What if I dont she asked then your account will be closed they said.

No probs ,take your money out,banks will always accept new customers!

Wonder if it's just the main Turkish based banks to fit in with Turkish banking laws or local banks too?
I can see the point in having to have an address, but residency is a bit of a push for all the expat home owners who don't reside here full time.

This is old news my bank told me this two years ago, it comes from the mainland government if you have a bank account here you have to live here.
