I've got Signal as a back up but there's hardly any of my contacts on it.

Thanks AM I was wondering why Faceache wasn't working. Nice to do without it and all the bile there is on there but could do with messenger and Whatsup though.

Not a lover of FB, but confess to going on a couple of groups here which are handy for info at times. I must miss all the bile.
Always handy to have something as a backup that is not connected to the same company, but not when your AM-no mates on Signal. (I do have some family on that, so that's fine.)

Good to know Butterfly. I used to have that, but hardly anyone I knew used it, so deleted it.

I was going to write a letter instead but then thought hang on we have nor reliable postal service and if it got to the UK they would have no fuel to deliver it.

All back and working now.

Don't think that I have written a letter in at least 20 years, other than business correspondence. Even email is becoming a thing of the past for keeping in touch with friends and family.

I never thought it was a good thing when FB took over WhatsApp, it's not good for one company to have control over so much.

Trouble is, if anyone else were to take over WhatsApp, we would probably have to pay. I refuse to have Facebook, tried it for a couple of weeks, just as a viewer, hated it and went through hoops in order to get out. I still love email, its so useful if you really have to send a long missive.

I had Viber before but it kept cutting out mid conversation I use Whatsapp to talk to family its first class.
