best supermarket for big shop coming to Girne from Tatlisu

Afte a two year absence we are coming back to North Cyprus in a few days time.

We usually do a big shop at the beginning of our trip.

We have used a variety of supermarkets but which ones are the best at the moment for price and quality?

Supreme Supermarket

Supreme in Çatalköy as mentioned has a good selection and is reasonably priced.

For a big shop, we tend to go over the hill towards Lefkoşa - we are based in Esentepe - to Erülkü, follow the mountain road just after Acapulco over towards the Tiga Motors garage and Lefkoşa - Gazımağusa dual carriageway, turning left before you get to the garage and roundabout. Also has a DIY section for any of those types of goods. Not a huge range of British products, but it depends what you are after I suppose.

Closer to home, Gül which replaced Tempo before you get to the Esentepe turning is reasonable and carries a good range of products, perhaps not for a big shop, but certainly good for day to day.

By Far Erdener near China Bazar Catalkoy main road.

Always Cleaning and being wiped down.

Plenty of good fresh fruit and veg

Ample supplies of frozen goods well stocked cooler cabinets at competitive prices.
Tried the other's...... this is our shop of choice now

Erdener definitely, clean, always followed rules, great staff and products.

ERdener and Metropol and Sah will need to see an Ada pass or no entry Supreme dont.

Erdena without doubt for a big or little shop, fresh everything including fish, salad bar, ready made kebabs etc purely for convenience of course. Excellent customer service, polite staff go out of their way to help. Same goes for Sah. What you can't get in one you can often get in the other. Also another vote for Gül but as said above, more for day to day rather than big shop and anything you specifically want but can't find there will usually be a suitable alternative.
