Over 60s renewal

Heard a rumour some time ago that over 60s don't pay the fee but pay for the blood tests. Apparently was done by clicking an exempt button. I take it that this is indeed not true as know a few over 60s and they have paid

Sounds like an urban myth. Over 60s pay for residency but don't require blood tests.

Obviously pay for2 years health insurance then I suppose. What if they don't give 2 yeats though.

Make sure you click two years in the drop down box. If you click that you will get that.

Unless you rent/lease then you can only have 1 year! Some have sneaked through but not many.

Thanks for that Waddo, I have never seen the option for 2 years on my application as a property owner. Seems a bit nuts that it's only available for people renting.

Waddo. The system allowed us to apply for two years and it has taken two years’ worth of health insurance each. Currently at 60% like many people I understand. We rent.

All very odd. I got 2 years last time I applied

Sorry people but it is not my idea! It clearly stated on the application - on line - that people who apply for renewal as High Income (Renters etc) could only apply for 1 year at a time. As the on line application covers everybody there is a drop down box where you can choose 1 year or 2 years! Once through the police check and going to pay for health insurance once again you have the option of 1 or 2 years - strange but true! The last time we applied - using the old handraulic system we also got 2 years but when it all went on line it became 1 year only.
I just wait for the day when we have to apply every 90 days instead!!

Well it was on ours last week when we did it and that was as an owner. You do have to click the box though to get the options. We were granted two years last time under the old system and have heard many people are getting two years this time so not expecting anything different.

There wasn't a box to tick for the options for me when I did it originally, and certainly wasn't this time round either.

Ours is an application for the first time under the new online system. Previously had 1 x one year followed by 2 x two years under the old system.
I’m presuming (hoping!) that because it has accepted two-year payments for health insurance for each of us (after requesting two years’ residency) that that’s what we’ll be granted.
But I could be wrong! Just have to wait and see.

It was ₺382 a couple of weeks ago but the new minimum wage may have pushed it up slightly. The new minimum wage is ₺4970 so the most it'll be is ₺497.
