Family are in Girne trying to get a taxi to karsiyaka but drivers telling them they will only go to lefcosia?

What reason did Taxi firm give? Or did they receive the shrug.

It is sometimes difficult to get a dolmus to Karsiyaka as the Lapta ones wont go beyond the Lapta hotel strip and the through ones are few .
They approached three different taxis and were met with the same reply ,good advert for tourism???

Still doesn't explain the reason why the drivers won't go further than end of Lapta Strip. There's got to be some reason or another.

Don't really understand this as I often see buses coming and going to Camlibel etc so they have to go through Karsiyaka.

This is ridiculous, understand if semi empty village but it has thousands of inhabitants. Ok if cutting a couple of buses out, but make sure there are notices giving times of buses. Anybody would think we are in the wilderness.

Are we being cut off. Garden rubbish not picked up for about (I think) 10 months or more.

The dolmus buses display their end destination on their front window screens. Koran, Camlibel, will take you past Karsiyaka square (13.5Tl). Did the journey today! Aprox.35 minutes.
