Pickling

Advice from the Picklers amongst you please. I pickled some beetroot a few weeks ago, using the white vinegar that I was assured the locals use. (can't remember its name) Opened the jar today, took a bite and I swear it would have stripped paintwork. Over the weekend I had intended to pickle more beetroot, cauliflower and cucumber but having second thoughts. I could Google for an answer but there are as many recipes as days in the year. Need something simple!!!

That would be great if you could. In the mean time, I've cooked some more beetroot and will slice up and put in the fridge. Is your recipe suitable for cauliflower and cucumber as well?

I must say, the sweet and sour element of the beetroot pickle looks great. Now Its down to Stormax or somewhere for the Turkish equivalent of Kilner Jars. I think I can adapt it to Cauliflower and Cucumber as well. Thanks.

Thanks terry2366, not sure I want the large ones, but I'll pop and see what they have.
