New Ercan Terminal

Was over on October, and was told to expect the new terminal to open November 11th , has it happened? Or when is it due . By the way , why do they call them Terminals ???
I was informed by a neighbour who used it recently, that it is in use, but not quiet finished.
As to the meaning, i believe it was adopted from the roman word 'Terminus' and was defined in the 1800's as "either end of a transportation line"
