Seems to take ages to charge, any advice?

Could be needing a new battery, but first check out possible reasons.

Had a similar problem a while back. Turned out it was because I was not connecting the charging cable properly - due to the tatty old cover I had on it getting in the way. Try charging without a cover if you have one. After that I have no idea.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

May be a worn or faulty charging cable.
