Did a pick up yesterday at London Gatwick, cost me 5 pounds to drive into the airport, no chance to park anywhere and walk in this is a 5* rip off.

Same at Heathrow, even for taxis, not sure if it's only applicable to non-airport taxis.

Its applicable to all at all airports cost of terrorism restricted car park entrance then they charge

All the information is here. You can do a free pick up or drop off using the long stay car parks, which is quite tedious. Heathrow also has a similar charge and they have admitted it was brought in because they lost so much money through Covid.

Stansted charge £7 … car parks are still available though, but if you’re meeting a family member or friend it’s easier to pick up from the pick up/ drop off point rather than the car park.

Liverpool express pick up and drop off 20 minutes £4 up to 30 minutes £6.
Manchester drop off 5 minutes £5 10 minutes £6. Pick up £6 for 30 minutes from the car parks.
Free drop off on car park then shuttle bus to the terminals.

They should put up a large sign in the arrivals area - "Welcome To Rip Off Britain"!

Hang on, can someone clarify this for me?
If I take a taxi to Heathrow, Gatwick et al, the taxi driver has to pay to drop us off/pick us up?
Or is it just an extra for using the car parks?

Taxis are taxed for dropping off and collecting BHX included and the tax is passed onto the passenger BHX £3 a time

FFS!! Already costs £350 just to get us to the airport, next year I think I'll consider walking!! :
