Can anyone point me in the right direction where to go to buy extra smoke alarms please? The one I have downstairs was brought from UK, and feel I should be installing more in bedrooms.

If you get stuck i can bring some out from UK but won't be until June. In UK i have Wi-Fi linked Fire Angels in every room and stairwells as well as CO and Natural Gas Alarms in every room with a combustible fuel source. I was thinking of having the same in Kibris however as the house is made of concrete i figured just the one Smoke Alarm and CO alarm would be sufficient as the whole village would probably hear if they went off. No point in having Natural Gas Alarm though as they don't work with LPG or the bottled stuff. Let me know how you get on though as June is better than having nothing.

Thank you so much for the kind offer MnM, very much appreciated. A friend has offered to bring over from UK in April. I'll have a look at Fire Angels, like the idea of it being very loud. The one I have downstairs is loud enough, but concerned it isn't loud enough when sleeping.

Sorry Mike, the Fire Angels i have are no louder than other brands. All domestic smoke alarms in the UK have to be a minimum of 85dB at 3 meters.
Me saying the whole village would probably hear it was just an overstatement, but that said, based on the house being made of concrete with little or no acoustic absorption, even 85dB with the windows and doors open on a quiet day or evening would probably carry a fair way.

That's fine, thanks MnM. Mine must be the same then as bought in UK. Would still feel better if I had one upstairs. I've been known to sleep through things that woke up the whole street here.
