5th Jab

Two of us went this morning to the GAU clinic for the above. The lady there read what I had had in the past and said I didn't require or need a 5th, but the person I went with had received two Sinovac first of all and today received an Commirnaty (if I'm reading it correctly) as another booster.

This is what I have on the Covid Help page:
download/file.php?id=25349&mode=view
Commirnaty is another name for Biontech.

Thanks Soner, still not sure which of us has benefitted most. Just go with the flow on the assumption that the lady at the GAU clinic knows more than I do on the subject.

If you had 2 Astrazenica and 2 Biontech jabs already, then last jab should last 6 months or until notified you should have a 5th jab. All depends on what jabs you had initially.

That's exactly what I've had Soner, which explains everything although 6 months is up now, so I'll sit and wait until told otherwise. Obviously its the first Sinovac x 2 given way back in really early January 2021 which has made it necessary for husband to have a 5th. It pays to monitor what you have or have not been given in the past.

Will let you know what happens tomorrow when we go for our 5th jab. First two were Sinovac, third was Astra and fourth was Biontech - that means we don't fall into any of the normal categories so it will be interesting to see what happens. Both of us now past the 3 months since 4th jab and both over 65.
Going to the place opposite shooters as it is the easiest one to get to and the parking is good.

Leither, Welcome to my World - lol. As far as I know the Johnson is good for 6 months from the 1st jab of Johnson and then the 2nd Johnson is then good for 9 months. Now I know that doesn't really help but you have only had a 1st jab of Johnson, never mind the other ones because apparently they don't count - I.E. 1st jab lasts X months then you for your 2nd jab which lasts you another 3 months (Both were Sinovac same as ours). Then the World turned, off you went for your 3rd jab and got Astra (Same as us) that should have lasted you 6 months but the World turned again and the powers said you need a 4th jab to make sure, I understand this was due to the multitude of differing variants that were scaring the pants off the experts. You got Johnson (supposed to last you 6 months regardless) and we got Biontech (which at the time was supposed to last 6 months as well), so now we are both in the same boat.
The latest info from the Gov was that those over 50 years of age and those in a dodgy category should have a 5th jab once 3 months since their last jab had passed. All we can do now is wander into the jabatorium and see what they say. I had intended to go to the Near East Girne but instead we will go down to the Girne Beli opposite Shooters coffee place in Girne and seek advice, I will post the result but we have never had a Johnson jab so you will be different.

Got up this morning to a cold, wet and miserable day! If it don’t improve we are not going out for a jab today! Just lighting the fire to stay warm and keep the damp away, sorry, will report back on the jabs when we get there.

Don't blame you Waddo, better staying inside and cosy if you don't have to go out.
I am equally confused as to the jabs, have had 3 so far, 2 AZ and 1 Biontech. Looking at the chart, 4th jab is for those over 65 and health workers, in which case I don't apply yet.

Had my 5th jab opposite Shooters exactly 3 months after my 4th, in and out in 5 minutes, got home, Adapass all updated, printed it off, don't know why I bothered really as no one ever asks for it.

Rain stopped, went and got our fifth jab, this one was BioNTech as well. Asked about Sinovac as 1st & 2nd, Astra as 3rd and Johnson as 4th. Advice given was wait 6 months after Johnson!
At the mention that Johnson was the 4th jab all the staff said the same thing - Super! So guess Johnson is the one to have if you can find it anywhere.
That’s all the information I could get out of the 1 person who spoke English but she did talk with all the staff there before she gave me the information.
