Parking at metahan crossing

Can you leave your car in the car park at metahan for approx 10hrs,walking across the border and getting picked up? anyone know price of the parking?

I didn't think you could walk across at Metehan.
Parking nearby at Ledra Palace and Ledra Street.

You can walk across at Metahan. Went over a couple of years ago to go to the horse racing with a few friends. The bus we hired dropped us off at the Turkish control and we walked down to the other side and then walked to the race course. Came back the same way a few hours later.

As you drive up to to the Metehan border, you will notice cars parked on your right hand side before the crossing point. It is FREE to park there . just do a u turn before the crossing point and park up on your left. its not a proper car park but it is used as one.
