Colony hotel

Any one happen to know if there is a dress code for the cocktail bar in the Colony Hotel,Kyrenia, about 6 in the evening, thanks

There wasn’t a dress code when we went up there and accidentally “overheard” the Beatles tribute concert in House!

Mind you it cost more for the cocktails than for our dinner in Azra Clair beforehand ((W\))

It's next to the swimming pool and people from there pop in for drinks every now and then.

It's not posh so wear what you like.

No dress code but I was very disappointed with the cocktails. I ordered a porn star martini and I can't even describe to you what it was like, just weak fruity liquid served in a champagne flute. When I took it back to the bar tender he said they didn't have any passionfruit juice but that was the least of its problems. I then chose a cosmopolitan as it was the cocktail of the day and it was basically the same as the supposed martini so I drank neither and they were not at all bothered. I will add that I have had cocktails there more than once before without issues albeit not in the last few years.

I think a problem out here is if they don’t have a vital ingredient then they’ll get creative in a near enough is good enough way. I remember Head Office ordering a Mojito which was just basically Lemon Juce & Rum. Obviously Lemons and Limes are pretty much the same, right?🤔 But not having any mint is a bit of a drawback, so take the whole drink off the menu.

My thoughts exactly. I should have known better really but I would far rather they said they didn't have the ingredients.

Has anyone found an establishment where the Bar Tender genuinely know what he is doing and more importantly has the correct ingredients. I suspect they are mostly all Bluff and Bluster, serving to a clientele who knows no better.

I thought they just had a great reputation for their food, wasn't aware it was cocktails as well. Is it possible to just have a drink or do you have to eat as well? In this heat, I find eating large plates of cooked food a bit daunting.
