Hi poppy - you know that you don't have to be 'ON' facebook to look at something, don't you?

It's only a website like any other, you just click on it and look for whatever you like!

It does appear that FB have changed things KC, in that you can't view without being logged in. Unless there is a way, would be great to know. Not caring about many FB sites, but the likes of Kibtek would be handy.

This is a bit strange!

Although I have a facebook account and never normally Log Out (TBH I never really Log Out of anything" ) - I did Log Out to try the link that I posted earlier , and it worked OK - admittedly it did invite me to either 'Log On' or 'Create a New Account', but I just ignored that and viewed the page contents...

If 'Not being logged in' does actually restrict the amount that you can interact with a particular facebook page there is something that I did a few years ago for people without a facebook account, which I posted on Kibkom at the time....

- I created a facebook account with the login credentials: -

Username: trncresident001@gmail.com
Password: Pa55word?

(Copy and paste the details if you like so that you don't get any typos)

Any of you can log in to this account to view information posted by Kibtek or your local Belediye or even Acapulco resort or Kaplica Beach!

I would ask that you don't use it for making friends or sharing photos etc, and that you Log Out after using it, so that other TRNC residents can use it without confusion, but it seems to have been working well so far, and has been used by many people to access useful information.

Hi, I'm not sure what people actually have against Facebook - you don't actually need to give or post any personal information, or post pictures of every meal that you eat, or accept friend recommendations or anything at all - but it is a very useful tool for keeping up-to-date with local info, because most of the Municipalities and Utilities have a Facebook page that they stick current stuff on...

Each to their own I suppose!

By the way, my own Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/keithcaley - most of the stuff is put on by other people, but you're welcome to take a look if you're bored!
