Residency extension

I was granted 2 years of residency but the certificate only shows until this September. I think the reason is that our passports expire in November.
I now have our new passports. My question is do I have to go to immigration for them to alter it or is there anything I can do online via their residency pages?

The website is very basic and only allows access 21 days before expiry of your residency, I doubt that you would be able to make such a change anyway. Best go to immigration in Lefkoşa to get it done properly. You can make an appointment here
https://randevu.icisleri.gov.ct.tr/VATA ... dasRandevu though not sure it's entirely necessary.

you have to go to nicosia, show your old and new passport (and all papers you have...) and if you are lucky, you can download the "new" residency (with the new passport number) next day.

I am in the same situation but I had a text message telling me that I must go to immigration when I get my new passport.

Slightly off topic, but I would advise you take both Passports whenever a Passport is asked for, for quite a while. It saved confusion when in a Bank, Registering a will a while back and in a hospital.

Recommend that you make an appointment, been this morning so many people there without one. If you have an appointment they put you to the front. Our appointment was for 09:30 but took us in at 09:00.

We were at the office this morning, different department, but noticed how extremely busy it was - much more so than 2 weeks ago.
