Hi guys can anyone tell me the latest needed to cross to the south and are masks compulsory. We've had three covid injections but I gather the Ada pass is defunct now

We have just started going South again for shopping, not sure if masks are compulsory however, everyone, and I mean everyone wears them everywhere, if you dont wear one for sure someone will remind you.
No ada pass just your passport and obviously residency certificate if its not in your passport. I am speaking about the Metahan crossing but I guess its the same at Ledra St, unless anyone knows different?

I'm a UK citizen.

A lost of posters will be of UK heritage and I know that whilst they are not liable to wear a mask they would feel more comfortable having something to show to the mask old bill. Reasons for not having to wear a mask include them making you feel stressed - and no-one is allowed to challenge what you say.

It worked for elderly members of my family during lockdowns & thought it would help those that have similar concerns.

If you wish to wear one feel free to ignore.

No particularly reason, but I thought if anyone was to check in the South, they might be affronted if someone was wandering around with a sign saying they were Exempt in the UK.(?) (their attitude could be, "well you're not exempt in RoC, so wear a mask please) Maybe the South have an equivalent?

Ginge, do I take it that the “reasons” for not wearing a mask are also covered by EU laws or just statements by UK citizens who are no longer EU citizens? As an “Elderly” person do you think I would get away with wearing a poster that said “I am exempt from paying a bar bill” because they make me feel stressed? In a third World country of course - lol.

It's a €300 fine in the south for not wearing a mask apparently. When we went last week everyone in the shops was wearing them.

Must have been different shops than we visited then all around Ledra st nothing and the few we went in on Makarios avenue. The only place they were wearing them was the social security office on Makarios

I was in Alpha Mega last week and I would say most shoppers were wearing masks.
