Any recommendations please for a summer log delivery Lapta area. Must be dry wood, Not Green. Price per ton and phone numbers appreciated please. Thank You.

Call Necat bey 0533 852 0621 - we've been using him for years & always great wood. He has wood available now as I've just placed an order with him.

BTW he speaks perfectly English.

It's not sold by the ton here as there is no weighbridge here (not that I know of) its just sold by the lorry load.

My experience of Necet is the lorry arrived with great looking wood on the top but a load of rubbish on the bottom only used him once.

I believe that there is one at the cement factory on the Karaoğlanoğlu Industrıal Estate - and quıte possıbly at other sımılar establıshments.

Legally, wood is supposed to be sold by the 'Forestry Ton' which is a volume rather than a weight - it is the amount of wood that can be stacked in a cube of size 1.1M x 1.1M x 1.1M - i.e. approx 1.33 cu metres.

Thank You for your replies. Yes Kieth metric ton by volume, I think i used to use Necat before and recommended him. Ill try him , I have qoutes at present for 2200 tl for 2 ton. I'm assured its dry . ??? But realistically it needs to be 2 years aged minimum.

Just had to replace virtually the entire flu due to unseasoned wood and resin build up.

Sadly, the only way to ensure that it's 2 yrs old is to buy it, and store it for 2 yrs!

Buddy, Necat quoted me 2,500TL, he will deliver end of the month.

Not necessarily less, Proper amount ? and decent dry wood. But obviously around that price. I have lived here long enough and seen enough pick up trucks of crap turn up. Like I said I have just replaced almost an entire flu. Encased in a exterior concrete chimmney breast. Not an easy job.
