Residency application, staying with friend, no rent

Asking on behalf of a friend. What do you require for residency purposes if staying free of charge at a friends house? If anyone has done this, would appreciate any advice.

All the usual plus a letter stating that they are living foc stamped by a noter.
Actually depends on who deals with the application. Good luck.

I take it that they would be like renters as far as financial matters go, as in 3 x minimum gross wage?

They would have to prove a sound financial level .

I take it that they would be like renters as far as financial matters go, as in 3 x minimum gross wage?
Yes 3 times minimum wage per month in income or 12 times the monthly figure in savings.
