Residency renewal

Just got our residency through and made payments. My wife and I for two years.
Hers was 511tl and mine was 1021 tl.
Not complaining about the price, just wondering why two different amounts.
We wanted two individual residencies.

Very strange, it looks as if they only charged 1 year for your wife.

Check the date on your completed online documents. It will show when it is next due.
I have experienced the government only taking half of the due payment and the remainder after six months.

Both identical on start and end dates. Mistake maybe.

If both are for 2 years then they will come back for the rest of the payment in six months, make sure you have enough funds on the card that you used.

I thought a (married?) couple were calculated as one sponsor and one person being sponsored (the sponsoree (:Q) )

Thus the different rates?

This post referred to queries I had when we first renewed under the new system:

Not as far as I am aware, no discounts for couples, you both pay the same. However if any have got away with it, good on them, but keep the money aside, just in case.

Don't you just love the quirky way things work here? There's absolutely no logic whatsoever. ((W\))
Just as well they charged me the full rate yesterday, as I use a "one off" virtual card for online stuff through Revolut.
