It's been announced that he will be King Charles III.

Don't know about you, but I've found the Death Round Salute a bit eerie. This is the third Monarch I've lived under, and can't remember it happening for George VI, but I guess it must have done.

Can't help I'm afraid. Before my time. I'm only 21

I cannot recall a Death Gun Salute in my 24 years service in the Gunners.

Were you alive and in the forces when King George VI died? Death of a Monarch is the only time it comes into force. 96 rounds for 96 years.
