Got the dreaded cracked ceilings in some rooms. Just wondering what others have done to rectify. I know it's caused by a lack of ventilation with moisture getting trapped and causing steel in the concrete to rust and blow etc. Obviously repair and re-paint but the problem will re-surface at some stage, so I was also thinking of getting a load of tubs of Silica Gel type absorbents if anywhere sells them and doting them around when we're "away".

Maybe you could consider a bag of pool salt,placed in large open containers as this would absorb moisture and it is reusable you just place in the sun to dry out and start again.

Put in a false ceiling. Plasterboard. Can insulate in the cavity as a bonus.

If really bad need go back to rebar’s rub down put rust protector then use a resin induced cement. Or tank out as said. If you want estimate www.braceybuiders.com
