The problem is I've lost the Car Log Book kochan
Tax office Girne says police station they give you a form back to the tax office Girne 140tl new log book
Girne Police no to the note go to lefkosa Girne dont know what they are doing he says an no note for the lefkosa office
HELP please on direction also if you know if policeman is right or wrong?

The office where you can exchange old vehicle kocan for new, or obtain a replacement vehicle kocan, is on the main road into Lefkosa from Gonyeli roundabout.

With the Merit hotel on your right as you approach central Lefkoşa, the office is about 150m before the hotel, on the left.

It is the old CTA airlines building (still with orange signage).

You will need proof of identity as recorded on your vehicle kocan, at the very least.

a1sysman, absolutely correct re direction, but take everything you can think of that helps to prove your identity, driving licence, bank book, whatever you can think of. They can be a funny lot in the Lefkosa office if you get a jobs worth on duty. Always pays to take photocopies of everything, leave one set in car, one set at home. Learned my lesson the hard way. They used to have machines so you can obtain a number, but ask someone which machine to use. I took a wrong number and waited three quarters of an hour before I discovered it.

So if you loose your log book be certain where you've lost it recomended near your home adress
Go to your police station in that area with details of log book
Your passport or the passport of the registered keeper remembering your parents name and mothers maiden name
You will need a 21.5 tl stamp from cafe and a photo copy of your passport
Then que at the window for lost and foundlings
They complete a form and two hours latter your on your way to the tax office
Say Car Kochan to the doorman get your number and have 145 tl plus your passport or the keepers passport no photo copies needed there
They print off the log book in two minuites
