Hi
has anyone flown London-Ankara-Ercan recently. If so did the journey go smoothly. Never flown this route before so any information will be appreciated!

I have gone LHR to Istanbul to Ankara to Ercan once. It was a bit of a nightmare as I had to get a Turkish visa and go to the domestic terminal (visa no longer required)
There are no direct flights UK to Ankara as far as I'm aware

I've done Ercan to Ankara return only, which probably doesn't help you. Being the capital of Turkey it was pretty large (but nothing like as big as Istanbul), efficient and well run. Being the capital, it does amaze me there are no direct flights from London, although not a place for hordes of tourists, just long weekends.

Pegasus fly Stansted-Ankara direct. Base price (before luggage, seats) in mid-March comes in at £230 return. Ankara to Ercan is £104 return. Total journey time including the airport stop is about 7 hours.
Pegasus Stansted-Ercan £251, 6 1/2 hours.
